Eagle Activities at Turkey Run

Watch wild eagles in flight, visit an eagle roost and several working nests, and enjoy live birds of prey programs during a special weekend at Turkey Run State Park, Jan. 27-29.

Indiana bird specialist Alan Bruner will offer a program featuring birding hot spots throughout Indiana. Dr. Ron Weiss will capture, band and release songbirds. Additional programs include an owl prowl after dark, hands-on activities and crafts, and a winter birds hike. The Friends of Turkey Run and Shades State Parks will again host the popular silent auction, which features local art, handmade items, nature books and more.

There is a program fee of $15 for ages 13 and up, and $10 per child, ages 4-12. Children ages 3 and younger will be admitted free of charge.

Standard park entrance fees of $5 per in-state vehicle and $7 per out-of-state vehicle may apply.
