DNR still looking for workers for program

The state continues to seek workers for a new state parks program that offers housing and a stipend to those who participate.

The Department of Natural Resources’ Division of State Parks & Reservoirs has received federal grant funding for the program, which is called the Indiana Heritage Corps.The DNR wants to find 23 people before Jan. 1 to begin service in late January 2012.Those accepted into the program will receive on-site housing, a living allowance of $335 per month, an education stipend up to $2,750 and hands-on experience.
